The Department of Education’s proposed Admissions and Consumer Transparency Supplement (ACTS) represent one of the most significant additions to IPEDS reporting in years and one that continues to evolve. As the Department continues to refine the ACTS requirements and timelines, institutions should not wait for complete clarity. It is prudent to prepare by identifying what reporting requirements are known, where ambiguity remains, and how existing data and processes can be strengthened for this new collection.
This session will focus on the vital role of registrar and enrollment management offices in supporting institutional readiness. Participants will explore the current ACTS requirements as defined by the most up-to-date information, assess how their current record systems align with potential data elements, and identify where challenges or gaps may exist. The session will cover strategies to document and mitigate these challenges, coordinate effectively with institutional research and other campus partners, and maintain progress toward compliance while upholding the quality and integrity of institutional data. Participants will leave with practical next steps and information about additional resources available to support institutions through this evolving reporting environment.
