Two levels of Honors College recognition
The following requirements are listed for new students in this academic year and for prospective students. Current students should consult the associated with their first semester at 萌妹社区 for the requirements associated with their graduation and reach out to honors@harding.edu if they have any questions.
There are two levels of Honors College recognition at graduation.
1. Honors College Graduates with Distinction
Students can graduate from the Honors College with Distinction by maintaining a 3.5 GPA, earning 26 hours of honors credits from the curriculum described below, and completing an honors thesis or honors capstone project. Students must earn an A or B in honors courses to be counted toward the graduation recognition requirements. Honors courses completed prior to the first semester of full-time enrollment (ex. HNRS 1000) do not apply toward honors graduation recognition requirements because they were completed before the student was enrolled in the Honors College.
Required
26 hours of honors credits, including
- HNRS 2000 (1) - Honors Cornerstone
- HNRS 4360-4361 (0-1) - Honors Capstone Preparation
- HNRS 4460-4463 (0-3) - Honors Senior Capstone Project
- At least three honors contracts or graduate-level courses as approved by the Honors College
- Any HNRS course numbered 2000 and above
2. Honors College Graduates
Honors Students can graduate from the Honors College by maintaining a 3.25 GPA and completing 20 hours of honors credits from the curriculum described below. Students must earn an A or B in honors courses to be counted toward the graduation recognition requirements. Honors courses completed prior to the first semester of full-time enrollment (ex. HNRS 1000) do not apply toward honors graduation recognition requirements because they were completed before the student was enrolled in the Honors College.

- HNRS 2000 (1) - Honors Cornerstone
- At least four honors contracts or graduate-level courses as approved by the Honors College
- Any HNRS course numbered 2000 and above
