Voting Membership


Voting members of ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø can interact with Association affairs through voting on leadership and bylaw changes, holding elective office, and participating in other formal ways such as serving on committees. The criteria for Voting Membership is outlined in Article II, Section 1 of the ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø Bylaws

Employees listed on member rosters in the following categories are considered voting members:


Institutional

Open to staff at postsecondary degree-granting institutions in the United States or Canada that are either:

  • Accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or
  • Approved by the local provincial government in Canada and authorized to grant degrees

International Institutional

Open to staff postsecondary institutions outside of the United States and Canada that are recognized by the Ministry of Education or equivalent governing body of their country and authorized to grant degrees.

System Office

Open to staff at centralized offices within postsecondary higher education systems in the United States.


Members in the Affiliate, Organizational, Corporate, and Individual categories, along with full-time students in the Institutional Membership category are not eligible for voting membership.
